There are lots of ways you can promote Affiliate Products and they are not all expensive. Many affiliates choose to promote affiliate products by placing advertisements at pay-per-click search engines. If you are on a tight budget, however, that might not be an option for you at the early stages of your new affiliate marketing business. But you can still use a number of other methods such as promote affiliate products using:
- Links from your own web pages
- Links from a blog. If you don’t have a blog you can start one free at Blogger.com
- Squidoo Lenses. You can set up Squidoo pages at zero cost.
- Writing free articles and linking to an affiliate landing page. You should post the article at free article directories such as EzineArticles and GoArticles.
Affiliate marketing is a great option if you to start an online business but have complete control over your costs. Once some commissions come in you could consider other techniques such as Pay-Per-Click.

No, although Google is the biggest. Yahoo also has adwords and there are several other search engines that sell them.
Google probably has around half of the search market in the US. Yahoo! probably has around 30%. MSN has around 12%. They all offer pay per click ad services to place ads near their search results.
In some foreign markets (like China, Scandanavia, or Russia) some smaller companies like Baidu have significant marketshare.
Google syndicates AdWords to other engines as well, but Yahoo! and MSN have their own internal programs that are sorta similar to AdWords.
Google has a great free online training video series for AdWords. Yahoo! search marketing has an ambassador program. Also here is a free PPC tips ebook.

You need to find out how many hits your website is getting per day. Then, approach a business and give them that number and ask them if they want to buy an ad for your website. You can easily modify your website and show advertisements on the side panels.
if you are not charging a membership fee the best way to get money from your website would be advertisements from other vendors… If you are not approached I would suggest monitoring and recording the # of people who visit your site and offer that as an incentive for an advertisement of theirs on your site… you might be surprised the amount you can get per week/per month for a small amount of your page… trust me I know my family owns a newspaper and the adds are where the money comes from; works the same on the web
Isn’t that the point of advertising…to make money? You pay to have your advertisement shown on Google and in turn, people click on the link and come to your site and possibly purchase your products.
Yes, Google Adwords allows you to place ads on the Google search results page and/or on any page that has “Ads by Google” on them. You bid money on keywords that you want to target. If your bid is accepted, your ad is shown when someone searches for that term and/or if there’s a site that the term is relevant for.
In terms of making money, that’s on you. Google has nothing to do with it. All Google Adwords does is allow you to place ads for your website to certain words.

Adsense account approval can take a while as Google needs to review your blog first. Frankly, it’s hard to make a lot of money with Adsense these days. You might be better off with affiliate marketing.
I would not advise you to take on Adwords if you do not have spare cash to play the game. It can be costly and it is important to get an education on pay per click advertising. You might want to generate traffic for free via article marketing, video marketing, forum participation, social marketing.
